Natalie | Project Manager
I’m Natalie, a Project Manager at JET. I joined in January 2019 after starting my events journey at uni and working agency-side in Australia. I love building relationships with organisers and still get a buzz from delivering successful events.
What sparked your interest in the events industry?
I started volunteering for Cancer Research UK events while I was at uni (not doing an events degree!) and loved everything about it! After that, I knew that I wanted to work in the events industry 🥰
What do you love most about your role?
I love working with our amazing organisers and building relationships with them, also the satisfaction of delivering a successful event never gets old.
What made you decide JET was the right place for you?
After working agency side and in Australia, I decided I wanted to return to my event roots in registration, so I’ve gone full circle 🙂
What do you think is our best product or feature?
Ooh, good question! I would say the Wallet ticket is a great new feature! It’s had really positive feedback from organisers, and more shows are starting to use it, which is great to see. Also, I’m going to be cheeky and say the LinkedIn Community Builder too, it’s something that only JET offers and gives organisers another way to reach their audience and encourage engagement pre-event.
If you could organise your dream event, what theme would it have?
Probably something 80s/90s related, I’m always listening to music from when I was growing up, and currently loving that my 4-year-old daughter is into 80s Kylie Minogue, definitely reliving my youth! 🤣
What’s one fun or surprising fact about yourself that we don’t know?
I love dancing! I did dance classes from the age of 4, probably through to early 20s (ballet, modern, tap, acro and later did some street dance, which helped having a love for 90s/00s R&B). I also played the saxophone at school. I got as far as Grade 4 and haven’t played since then, but I still have it tucked away in its case. I think my neighbours may hate me if I start that up!
