Matt | Commercial Director
I’m Matt, Commercial Director at JET. I first joined the team back in 2013 as a Technical Assistant, and since then, my role has evolved a lot. These days, you’ll usually find me deep in spreadsheets or Salesforce, supporting the team with deals, reporting, and helping shape our next marketing move.
What sparked your interest in the events industry?
I fell into it – I applied for web development jobs and thought building registration forms sounded cool… I’ve now been with the company for 12 years and seen how it’s progressed over that time.
What do you love most about your role?
I have a great team and I spend my time (hopefully!) helping them to carry out their roles as successfully as possible.
What made you decide JET was the right place for you?
When I applied, Wallingford was equidistant between my house and my girlfriend’s (and now wife’s) house. However, the team, the business park, and the variety and flexibility offered both within JET and the wider Vesta Software Group have kept me happy.
What do you think is our best product or feature?
The team provide the best service – as our NPS proves! From a technical perspective, I’m really excited about our latest product launch, JET Self-Serve.
If you could organise your dream event, what theme would it have?
Something to do with sport, or football in particular.
What’s one fun or surprising fact about yourself that we don’t know?
I’ve visited 34 of the 50 US states. Alaska and Hawaii are a couple of the more exciting ones that remain on my list to visit!
