Louis | Operations Manager
I’m Louis, an Operations Manager at JET. I joined the team in December 2022 and no two days are ever quite the same. My time is spent planning and prioritising around our event schedule, handling supplier queries, supporting teams across lead capture and event logistics, and tackling whatever else comes my way.
What sparked your interest in the events industry?
It has to be the variety! There’s literally an event for everything, and I love working with organisers from so many different backgrounds. Each project brings new challenges and perspectives – you never know what industry or type of event you’ll be diving into next.
What do you love most about your role?
Although the cakes and biscuits I’m known for bringing in are definitely a perk, it has to be the people I work with at JET! I love that we all pull together, no matter what the ask is, and we have a good laugh while doing it. The team spirit here is something special.
What made you decide JET was the right place for you?
I knew within the first week that this was the right place for me. I could see the real potential in what we do here, and as I’ve already mentioned, the people are fantastic. Coming from a different industry, I loved discovering the fast-paced and personable nature of events – it was exactly what I was looking for.
What do you think is our best product or feature?
JET Onsite! I have seen this go from strength to strength and I really do think this is some of the best work we have done. It’s so easy to use as an organiser or even an OSM, and I cannot wait to see it get even better!
If you could organise your dream event, what theme would it have?
The office all know I love my food and drink, so it would have to be all about this! I’d organise ‘CheeseStock’ – a massive cheese and wine festival with vendors from all over showcasing their best offerings. Picture cheese wheels as far as the eye can see, wine tastings at every turn, live music, and thousands of people just enjoying the best of both worlds. It would be pure heaven!.
What’s one fun or surprising fact about yourself that we don’t know?
I’m a bit of an adrenaline junky! I’ve completed two skydives and got my scuba diving qualification – there’s nothing quite like that rush. My ultimate goal is to go shark diving one day. Who knows, maybe I’ll organise a team building event around it!
