Graham | R&D Director

I’m Graham, R&D Director at JET. I’ve been part of the team since around 2008, and no two days are ever the same. I spend my time working with the R&D team on new features and improvements, collaborating with the leadership team, and occasionally getting stuck into some hands-on programming.

What sparked your interest in the events industry?

I set up a company to take advantage of the Internet, becoming interactive with the ability to capture data through forms and databases and quickly found a niche creating registration forms for trade events.

What do you love most about your role?

Ability to create new software and systems that are used by millions of people every year.

What made you decide JET was the right place for you?

The business was acquired a few years back and rebranded to JET, but we have retained the small, family-run ethos whilst also having the backup and support of a multi-national corporation.

What do you think is our best product or feature?

JET Onsite – it looks slick and is engineered well for the ‘harsh’ exhibition environment – it’s going to replace our existing legacy onsite solution and be available for organisers to use ‘self-serve’.

If you could organise your dream event, what theme would it have?

Something mini-adventure-based.

What’s one fun or surprising fact about yourself that we don’t know?

I used to run a Beaver colony of small 6-7-year-olds – lots of fun, games and friendship!
