Q2 Product Updates – What’s New at JET
Q2 passed in a flash and we’re already a few weeks into the next chapter. The past quarter brought a mix of new product releases, forward-looking ideas, system improvements and a growing focus on AI.
Let’s take a look at what’s been happening – there’s plenty to share.
Improved User Interface
A fresh new look is coming to EventData this month!
You’ll soon notice a sleeker, more modern interface, with simplified navigation and improved responsiveness throughout. The best part? All existing functionality stays exactly the same. You’ll still be able to do everything you’re used to – just with a cleaner, more intuitive experience.
To make the transition even smoother, we’ve put together a short blog post on what to expect from the update.
Beyond the Roadmap
One of the highlights from Q2 was our Beyond the Roadmap session. If you’re subscribed to our monthly newsletter, you may have seen a brief mention of it in the May edition.
What was the session about?
Beyond the Roadmap is just that, a chance to look beyond what’s currently planned. It’s a space to come together, share ideas and think big about the future of our products and services.
Here are some of the topics that came up during the session:
- Exhibitor Dashboard/Management Area
- Speaker & Seminar Dashboard/Management Area
- Event Websites
- Event Apps
Many of these ideas also surfaced during our recent Organiser Focus Group, so we’re excited to share more on what clients had to say in the coming months.
JET Onsite
You may have heard us mention our brand new self-serve solution… once or twice (or a thousand times). But did you know the app at the heart of it all is JET Onsite?
JET Onsite powers the self-serve experience (everything except the physical equipment). It’s simple, easy to use and proven to reduce the faff, as seen at the Public Sector Estates Congress last month:
“JET’s self-serve system made registration seamless, gave our team more time to focus on attendees, and was incredibly easy to set up.”
The app is now available on both Android and iOS, and with it you can:
- Check in your visitors
- Allow them to collect their badges
- Edit and add registrations on the day
And there’s more on the way:
- Branded badge collection screens: personalise the experience with your own logos and background images.
- Windows version: currently in development to make the app even more accessible.
- Colour badge printing: one of our most requested features, now on the roadmap.
Running an event with fewer than 1,000 attendees and want to learn more about our self-serve solution or JET Onsite? Our dedicated representative, George, is here to help and happy to talk you through what’s possible.
AI and other exciting things
AI – you’ve probably heard about it non-stop lately. From us, your colleagues, family, or just about everyone else. And with good reason. AI is here to stay, and we’re more than ready to embrace it.
We officially kicked off our AI journey with a month dedicated entirely to exploration, experimentation and learning.
June was an eye-opening experience across the board. Every team got stuck in, finding ways to bring AI into their day-to-day, from streamlining tasks and boosting productivity to enhancing how we build solutions for the events world.
Departments shared real use cases that showcased how AI helped save time, improve workflows and deliver better outcomes. It’s been brilliant to see the buzz and collaboration it’s sparked internally.
Oh, and we can’t forget the Hackathon. A chance for the team to get creative, the event produced some standout ideas, including visitor and exhibitor matchmaking, plus exciting AI-powered system features. Nothing’s confirmed just yet… but let’s just say there may be some interesting announcements on the horizon 👀
That’s a wrap on Q2! As always, thank you for being part of the journey – whether you’ve shared feedback, joined a session, or simply kept an eye on what we’ve been up to. We’re excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to share more with you soon.
Until next time,
Team JET
