Harrogate Convention Centre

The Harrogate Convention Centre offers a vast selection of venue spaces, including an auditorium, a theatre hall, suites and other additional meeting rooms of various sizes. With such a plethora of event spaces to choose from, it is a popular destination for event organisers interested in hosting trade shows, exhibitions, and other large-scale events.

For those interested in getting to this event by public transport, you’re in luck! The Harrogate Convention Centre is located close to several bus stops and coach stations, the closest being the Conference Centre stop which is only down the road from the Convention Centre. In addition to the other bus stops in the area, the Harrogate railway station is within an 8-minute walk so if you don’t want to travel by car, you have plenty of options.

Restaurants

One of the restaurants closest to the Convention Centre is Spice Culture, as it is merely a minute away. It is an Indian restaurant that serves Indian tapas and classic dishes like tandoori and biryani. If you are craving Indian food after a busy day of eventing, this is the place for you. A little further away is Stuzzi. Short for Stuzzichini, meaning appetizers or nibbles, Stuzzi serves small plates of Italian cuisine; perfect if you are looking for a small bite after an event. However, if small plates aren’t what you are looking for after a long day, then try Sukothai. It is a Thai restaurant and bar that serves a variety of sharing platters, starters and main dishes that are all bursting with flavour.

Bars

If you’re in need of a drink after a long day that’s not too far away from the centre, Cold Bath Brewing Co might be the place for you. It is a microbrewery that is across the road from the Centre and specialises in sustainably brewed beers. It also offers a refreshing variety of cocktails, wines and even a bottomless ‘barcuterie’ experience. If it is a pub you are looking for, then The Winter Gardens is a great choice. It is a Wetherspoon chain pub which has everything from pints to cocktails as a reasonable price which makes it a popular choice. The last place we’d recommend is also conveniently across the road from the Centre, Christies. It is another pub that offers a great range of drinks, including a selection of signature cocktails as well as the classics.

Hotels

Within the spaces of the Centre, there are two hotels: Premier Inn and Crowne Plaza Harrogate. Premier Inn is the cheapest option of the two and offers a selection of amenities in their standard rooms like free-wifi, refreshment facilities and a vanity area. For the upgraded rooms, there is a coffee machine, an ironing board and an iron as well as air conditioning. Crowne Plaza is also a good choice, not only because of its location but also because of its hotel features such as an onsite fitness centre. In addition, the rooms are spacious and well-decorated which is greatly appreciated after a day of eventing. Lastly, DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa is a 4-star hotel that is very close to the Centre.
