What’s your career history?

My journey in the events industry started at a City Council, firstly as a Front of House team member and then as part of the core organising team for city-wide events. After a few years, I pursued a Master’s Degree in International Events Management and graduated with Distinction. Following graduation, I joined an international B2B exhibition company where I made my way from an Operations Assistant to the Operations Manager; this enabled me to expand my expertise in planning, logistics, and on-site event facilitation at venues around the world. Alongside my role as an On-Site Manager here at Jonas Event Technology, I am also a contract Operations Event Manager.

What have been your impressions of the events industry?

I love working in the events industry; I meet and work alongside individuals who share the passion and enthusiasm I have. It’s great to see each person’s unique perspectives and skills come together in an effort to create unforgettable experiences.

If you were going to run an event, what would it be?

A summer music festival: there’s something exhilarating about music events that gives me goosebumps! I wrote my MSc dissertation on environmentally sustainable waste management practices at UK music festivals, and interviewing Operations Managers at several well-known music festivals was eye-opening and inspiring.

The song you’d sing at karaoke?

Any Taylor Swift song!

Worst job you’ve had (hopefully not this one 😉)?

I’ve been lucky enough not to have a bad job, each position I’ve held has offered invaluable experience.

Favourite Film?

It’s a tie between The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, and Hot Fuzz. So many great quotes!

Favourite Food?

Pizza, with garlic bread coming in at a very (very) close second.

Favourite Drink?

An iced caramel latte.

Favourite Holiday/Place to go on holiday?

Anywhere sunny, with places to explore and hike.

If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go?

America – no matter how many times I visit a new state, I always want to see more.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Travelling and exploring new cities.

What one thing could you never give up?

Cheese.

Your biggest achievement?

Achieving a Distinction for my Master’s degree in International Event Management during the COVID pandemic, with no access to a library!
