Natalie – Project Manager

Team Spotlight

Natalie joined us as a project manager.

The creation of the Project Manager role allows us to build on our existing great customer service by introducing a more structured project management approach to the delivery of events. This includes a project plan document, project kick-offs and regular update calls all the way through to the event, resulting in the best possible service for our clients.

So, let’s find out a bit more about Natalie…

When did you join JET?

January 2019!

What’s your career history?

I’ve worked in events since 2007, starting in event registration before moving into event hotel room block management (up to 45 properties per event). I also worked in Perth, Australia for 2 and a half years, working as an event manager for Governance and Risk Management events, short courses and post graduate education. I then returned to my registration roots here at JET in 2019 😊

Where are you based?

Cholsey, Wallingford

What have been your impressions of the events industry?

It can be manic but I love it! It’s great to see how an event comes together (team work makes the dream work, as they say) and the feeling of accomplishment when it’s all wrapped up.

If you were going to run an event, what would it be?

If I could be involved in any event it would be the Wimbledon Championships, then I could sneak into Centre Court to watch.

The song you’d sing at karaoke?

Haha, it takes a few drinks to get me on stage but it would usually be a group song, something by the Spice Girls.

Worst job you’ve had (hopefully not this one 😉)?

That would be telling 😉 (definitely not this one though, I love working here!).

Favourite Film?

I’ve got loads, but an old favourite of mine is “High Society”.

Favourite Food?

I love Italian food!

Favourite Drink?

Prosecco.

Favourite Holiday/Place to go on holiday?

I loved Rome and would love to see more of Italy (there seems to be an Italian theme in my answers!).

If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go?

Probably Disney World, I’m a big Disney fan. 😊

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Reading, watching films, walks in the countryside and floristry.

What one thing could you never give up?

Chocolate!

Tell us something we don’t know about you.

I lived in Perth, Australia for two and a half years. It was a great experience and there are things and people that I miss, but there’s no place like home.
