Krissy – Account Director

Team Spotlight

Krissy is our Account Director. Having helped organisers of all types of events over the last 20 years, from smaller conferences right up to our biggest trade exhibitions, there is very little she doesn’t know about how best to manage event registration! Here’s a chance for those organisers to find out a bit more about her…

When did you join JET?

September 2002

What’s your career history?

I’ve been here so long there isn’t much more to it. Previously I worked as a PR Account Manager and the above admin job, that’s it!

Where are you based?

Wallingford Office

What have been your impressions of the events industry?

First impressions I think was that it was manic! Still here though 😉

If you were going to run an event, what would it be?

Definitely something to do with food and drink.

First song bought?

I can’t actually remember, I do remember it being on a cassette however.

The song you’d sing at karaoke?

It would only ever be after quite a few (large) wines if I did and it would probably be something cheesy! Clearly I have blocked out past renditions, although a bad version of Shania Twain’s ‘That don’t impress me much’, is a vague memory.

Worst job you’ve had (hopefully not this one 😉)?

I started temping after travelling as an Administrator for a college. I would start work at 9am and by 9:02am I had finished the workload for the day (working hours were until 5:30pm). It was the longest 6 months of my life – boredom doesn’t sit well with me, I need to be busy.

Favourite Film?

I like the classics, Top Gun, Cocktail, Footloose, although the Greatest Showman is up there too.

Who would play you in a movie?

I’m rubbish with actors, I haven’t a clue sorry!

Favourite Food?

Seafood without a doubt – ultimate favourite is lobster.

Favourite Drink?

Champagne, Processco, White White (Red in winter) or Gin…

Favourite Holiday/Place to go on holiday?

I’ve travelled quite a lot and Cambodia is one that sticks out as one of my favourites – the people, culture and history was captivating. Scotland is high up on my list for it’s pure beauty as is Uganda and Rwanda. It’s quite hard to narrow one down.

If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go?

I would love to travel around India.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy walking, (I own the office dog Buddy who you may occasionally see in the background of video calls) swimming, baking and spending time with my family and friends.

What one thing could you never give up?

My friends.

Your biggest achievement?

I should probably say my kids… they are pretty amazing, but I am biased.

Tell us something we don’t know about you.

I was a Special Police Constable for Reading Police for 2 years.
